Working pit covers - Mobile and fix working platform
A first project for tailor-made work pit covers for one of our partners in the railway industry, led us to take a closer look at this type of work environment and to propose adapted solutions respecting the needs of end users. Our current experience brought us to design, industrialize, manufacture and install two type of products : Fix pit covers and mobile and fixed work platforms.

Our solutions
1) Fix pit covers
Our fix pit covers have been designed to temporarily close working pits in order to save space in maintenance workshops, especially interesting for storage and process optimization. Our covers resist to the weight of lifting equipments. Mecawa has developed a lifting tool to lift, move and position the covers using forklifts with ease and safety.
2) Fix and mobile platforms
Our fix and mobile rail platforms have been designed for working pits for different applications such as :
a) Work in front of vehicles
b) Installation - removal of suspensions on vehicles
